Tsukumo Sawara Cypress Gift Tree

Chamaecyparis pisifera ‘Tsukumo’ is a rounded bun that at first glance resembles  a mossy green rock. Its dense, finely textured green foliage grows so slowly that it is ideal for the smallest garden .  After 10 years of growth, a mature plant will measure only 12 inches across and 4 inches high, an annual growth rate of around 1 inch.  Occasionally, short feathery plumes will sprout out among the fine foliage, adding character and dimension, or may simply be removed to maintain the most compact, tiny mound.  Perfect for miniature gardens, containers, and fairy gardens.
